The BOOK is a sociopolitical exploration and analysis of political turmoil in post-independence South Sudan. It is structured around Sudanese and South Sudanese historical accounts, and the South Sudanese’s long struggle to attain a country. The book raises concerns about governance, tribal thinking, and power struggles among different political actors. It brings to light what oligarchies can do when petty politics overshadows national agendas. The book further examines the drawbacks of violent politics and the country’s subsequent backwardness within the context of the globalized economies of the world.
